STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

If your stove does not turn on or ignite make sure it is getting electricity if it is an electric model. Check that it is plugged in and the circuit breaker has not tripped off. And, for a gas stove, check the pilot light. The most common problems are with a surface element, oven burner igniter, the bake and broil element, or the infinite switch. All of these are quick, same-day repairs.

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

Call us for quick repairs if your stove or burner does not heat up. The oven won’t heat if it has a broken bake element or the oven sensor is malfunctioning. A burner won’t heat up or even turn on if an element is broken or a burner switch or the terminal block is broken. We can fix these common problems in less a couple of hours after our arrival.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

When the timer or the program settings on your stove do not work the problem is that the control board is broken. This part cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. We routinely replace control boards for LG, Sears, Kenmore, GE, and other brands and models of stoves and ranges. We provide a warranty on all control boards and all parts we use for this oven repair.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

If your oven is too hot that can be dangerous. This problem occurs with a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians will diagnose the problem and repair it. Be careful and do not try to fix this problem on your own. This is a dangerous issue and you should call for help immediately.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

Sometimes a stove problem is that the igniter will glow but will not light. This happens because of a broken surface igniter, electronic control, safety valve, or temperature sensor. We will check this problem out and tell you if we can fix it or if you need new parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

A problem that is unique to the newer self-cleaning models of ovens is that sometimes the door will not open when the cleaning cycle is finished. We will inspect the door latch, the seal, and thermostat to find out why the door will not open and then make the necessary repair on the same day you call and on a short service call.
